The Eve Appeal’s luncheon reception
The Eve Appeal and Lord Sharman OBE hosted their summer luncheon at The House of Lords ON 28th July and as a major supporter of the charity, ‘all for eve’ were very kindly invited along to hear about all the amazing research that Prof Ian Jacobs and his team are currently working on and to listen to a wonderfully powerful story from Angela Profit, an ovarian cancer patient who has been fighting this disease for nine years. Angela really is an inspiration to us all and delivered an incredibly moving account of how she has battled this disease but through her positivity keeps fighting it away.
We were all incredibly grateful to The Eve Appeal for inviting us along to the event and letting us be part of such a fantastic and worthwhile event.
The Brand Launch
George Hammer introduced ‘all for eve,’ his new beauty and lifestyle brand today to some of the beauty and fashion industry’s largest players at one of London’s most coveted venues One Mayfair.
An idea born out of his desire to raise awareness and funding for gynaecological cancer research following the untimely death of his sister-in-law Nadia to ovarian cancer in 2008, George has said he is prepared to pull in all necessary favours to make this brand work.
Having seen the shocking statistics which show that 20 women a day will die from a gynaecological cancer, George told his guests that he was determined to make a change. Nadia’s passing would not be in vain and through launching ‘all for eve’ he intends to give all net profits to The Eve Appeal, a charity that was set up specifically to raise funding and awareness into women’s cancers.
‘all for eve’ partner with Prodoto Photography
‘all for eve’ recently got involved with Prodoto Photography, one of the UK’s leading commercial photographic studios, specialising in high quality product and still life clothing photography for many well known clients and brands including Superdrug, Henri Lloyd and Which Magazine.
Approached by ‘all for eve’ to assist in some new product and creative photography, we were so grateful when Prodoto chose to get behind the cause because as a team, they recognise that increasing the awareness of any cancer is important and have subsequently created some stunning photography for us, which we hope will only further entice people to buy ‘all for eve.’
‘all for eve’ triumphs at the 5th Annual CEW Beauty Awards 2010
Marking a new record at the CEW awards, ‘all for eve’ has won all four categories entered. A new brand launched in November 2009, ‘all for eve’ has set a precedent for all philanthropic organisations going forward.
We can proudly announce that ‘all for eve’ swept the board with the following awards:
‘Best New Brand’ (Mass) for ‘all for eve’
‘Best New Bath & Body’ (Mass) for our body butter created by Urban Retreat
‘Best New Make-Up Product’ (Mass) for our eve red lipstick created by Daniel Sandler
‘Best New Hand & Nail Care Product’ (Mass or Prestige) for our hand cream created by Urban Retreat
George Hammer’s desire to make a difference to the funding of and raising awareness of gynaecological cancer research has really begun to make waves in the beauty industry and we truly believe that these awards reinforce the fact that the Women of the CEW recognise the necessity to make a change to the current statistics.
Every day 20 women in the UK will die of a gynaecological cancer. Our commitment to the development of this brand and continuing the work of The Eve Appeal, a charity set up to fundraise for research and raise awareness of such cancers, will ensure that these statistics dramatically improve and in turn we can proudly say that 20 women a day are surviving a gynaecological cancer.
These awards are voted for by experts within the beauty industry, so it just goes to show how fantastic ‘all for eve’ is set to be and we are so very excited about the opportunities going forward!
